This course examines theories of foreign direct investment (FDI) and the theoretical foundations underlying different forms of multinational enterprises (MNEs). It also reviews key theoretical perspectives and empirical evidence on foreign market entry strategies and their performance implications. The course will not address the external environments faced by MNEs or managerial and organizational issues within MNEs, as these topics are covered in other courses in the program.

There will be one guest talk. The specific time will be announced in March.

譚丹琪為政大國際經營與貿易學系特聘教授，兼政大高教深耕計畫企業永續管理研究中心主任，為美國伊利諾大學香檳校區管理學博士，主修國際企業。曾獲97學年國科會傑出研究獎，並於2017-2019年間擔任科技部管理一學門召集人。曾擔任數本FT 50 期刊的editoral board member,包括Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management 等。目前擔任Strategic Management Journal, International Business Review, 以及 Journal of International Management 的editoral board member。研究領域為國際企業策略。
